We kicked off our engagement trip on Saturday 21 May 2022 at La Fondue, our favorite restaurant down in Saratoga with their Le Freak meal offering cheese and chocolate fondue with a main course of 27 unique wild and exotic meats. The first week of the trip was spent in Napa Valley, staying at the Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country, Hilton Doubletree Sonoma Wine Country, and Marriott Napa Valley from Sunday 22 May 2022 through Monday 30 May 2022. On Sunday 29 May 2022, I surprised Remi with a proposal at one of our favorite spots - Alpha Omega Winery - followed by a celebration dinner at PRESS. On Monday 30 May 2022, we left Napa and drove to our all-time favorite resort - the Alila Ventana Big Sur, a wonderful all-inclusive retreat nestled in the Big Sur Redwoods. We were booked into their Big Sur Spa Suite and spent the next two weeks in utter relaxation through Saturday 11 June 2022. Immediately after leaving Ventana, we headed down to Miami and Boca Raton, Florida to hit the beach and share the news with family. We stayed in Florida for two weeks from 11 June 2022 through Wednesday 22 June 2022, seeing family and friends visiting for our engagement party, boating, sunbathing and visiting some of our old favorites like Sunday brunch at ETARU Hallandale and the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami. After Florida, we flew back to California to return to Napa Thursday 23 June 2022 through Monday 27 June 2022 to attend Alpha Omega’s ERA Elite Luncheon at Sleeping Lady Vineyard on Saturday, and visit wineries of course. We returned to Florida the following day, 28 June 2022, and stayed through July 4th of July holiday before flying home Wednesday 6 July 2022 and ending our trip at the Hilton Doubletree Napa Valley with the a day out boating in Sausalito followed by Chateau St Jean Winery’s Summer Fete Annual Wine Club party on Saturday 9 July 2022.
